Design and Optimization of a Pneumatic Clamping System for Direct-Driven Rotary Tables

چکیده
Modern direct-driven and high-speed rotary tables with torque motor are optimally suited for all handling assembly applications that require the shortest indexing times flexible positioning. The following paper is devoted to study, design, optimization of an innovative table clamping system (brake accurate positioning) actuated by pneumatic energy, working at a maximum pressure 6 bar. challenge aforementioned application related developing solution able provide tangential (with actuated) in range thousands Nm without leveraging use high-pressure hydraulic energy. proposed based on precise calculation stresses order perform fatigue assessment elastic deformation clamps set correct tolerances between mating parts. Eventually, experimental campaign carried out tune numerical model, which then used validate design solution.
